The furniture fair is not just about furniture, there are also accessories that go along with your main furniture pieces to complete the look. Some favorites:
Nils Holger Moormann: this designer may not have the biggest booth and may be in the back of the hall, his designs are definitely worth a look. My personal favorites are the Insert Coin and the Bookinist, each cleverly designed yet functional.

Insert Coin is a shelving system in which you can insert the trays into the slots in any order to your liking, creating a personalized look for your living space. Made of birch plywood.

This Bookinist chair is designed for the ultimate bookworm. It’s actually a movable chair that can be easily moved to your favorite reading spot, with all of your reading materials stored on the sides. There is even a reading lamp, a hidden compartment for your writing instruments and a cup holder built in. Everything you need is basically at your disposal with this chair. It’s a great piece for those who have smaller, confined spaces.

Absolut-Lighting: I literally “ran” into this booth in the Euroluce lighting exhibit, which happens every other year in conjunction with the Milan Furniture Fair. This German company’s lighting series called “Shining Image” caught my eye as I was running by trying to see as much as I could. Designed by Dennis Thies and Michael Rösing, this series of silhouette projection lighting comes in a variety of motifs in different heights.

Coming up: the finale.
