Giò Suspension Lamp by Angeletti Ruzza Design for Nemo-Cassina.

In preparation for the Milan Furniture Fair and Milan Design Week that is coming up in just two months’ time (which is also the 50th anniversary of the Fair), we will begin coverage on some of the pieces that will be featured at the show. The first is this Giò suspension lamp by Angeletti Ruzza design for Nemo-Cassina, part of the Poltrona Frau Group. This is just a very minimalist piece that is available in either chromed aluminium (pictured here) or smooth white matte varnish.

Available in June with a price tag of 1,275 Euros (approximately US$1,725) plus VAT.

Binic Lamp by Ionna Vautrin for Foscarini.

Foscarini released these Binic “take-away” lamps which are fun to have around. Designed by Ionna Vautrin, the original inspiration comes from the lighthouses in Brittany.

You can find these in the US priced at $262 each.

Tua Table Lamp, Foscarini.

This Tua Table Lamp from Foscarini is just a very simple halogen lamp inspired by the palm of the hand containing a light. Designer Marco Zito added additional elements such as the slot on the top of the lamp to reduce heat – but adding aesthetic value to the piece. The light source is reflective, which complements the soft nature of the lamp.

The lamp costs US$312.
