Condé Nast Traveler Photo Contest.

I actually entered three photos in Condé Nast Traveler’s “Live the Cover!” photo contest, so check them out!

My Little Piece of Paris
Navigating the London Underground
Milan’s Grandeur

You might even want to enter your own — the prize is a six-night stay at the Frank Gehry–designed Hotel Marqués de Riscal in Elciego, Spain, valued at $10,000!

Back from the Road.

I’ve been on the road for nearly two weeks in the Cotswolds in England, Paris and New York — without much access to the Internet. Over the next few days I will provide updates from this particular trip as well as complete the Milan and London stories, so please stay tuned!

For now, I leave you with a picture of Paris.

The First Post.

After six years of talk and six months of planning, metrosnapshot is finally born. The original concept of the site was to be a destination site about my personal travels with endless galleries of pictures to help illustrate each experience. After thinking about this a bit more and with numerous conversations with friends and family, I realized that there is just so much more that I wanted to cover, and travel is just one part of the story.

So the current mission of metrosnapshot is to become a destination for all things about being urban. To be more specific, it’s about the people, places, things and events that make up the urban lifestyle. I am now working on a story on the Milan Furniture Fair (aka the Salone Internazionale del Mobile), which I attended in late April. Then it’s London, Paris, Taipei, Tokyo and so on.

For now, enjoy the site. Thanks for visiting.
